The Annual Day was celebrated on 10.03.2018 in the school campus. The Chief Guest at the function was Dr. S.R.S Paul, Chairman and Managing Director, Sam Paul Educational Trust. The other dignitaries present on the occasion were Mr. Jeyaraj, General Manager, Sam Paul Group; Mr. C. Kumaravel, Additional Director; Mr. L. Subramaniam, CEO, Pauls Educational Trust, Dr. Ravichandran, Director of Group Colleges; Dr. Y.R.M Rao, Principal, Dr. Pauls Engineering College; Dr. Vijayaragavan, Principal, Christ Institute of Technology; Dr. Arokiaraj, Principal, Paulsons B.Ed College; Mr. Nandagopal, retired Superintendent; Mrs. G. Usharani, CEO, Sam Paul Group of Schools and Principal, Stansford International Higher Secondary School and Mrs. K. Kalpana, Principal, Billabong High International School.
The programmes included colourful and vibrant cultural events presented by the students. Student achievement awards were given away by the Chief Guest on the occasion. Parents came in large numbers to be a part of the Annual Day Celebration.

Keeping in view the need to save the environment, a photography competition was conducted by Pondicherry Science Forum, to observe World Forest Day and World Water Day 2017. Kishan of class XI secured the third place in the photography competition. The award was presented by the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry Kiran Bedi.


The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India, Chennai -32, is organizing a two-week training programme on Solar Energy Technology, at Stansford International Higher Secondary School, Moolakulam, Puducherry, from 19th September to 30th September 2016. The training programme was inaugurated on 19th September at the school campus. The Chief Guest at the inaugural was Ms. R. Smitha, M.D. REAP. The Guests of Honour were Mr. Shanmugam, M.D. Phocos Solar; Mr. Raja Kanu, Industrialist, Puducherry; Mr. K. Kandhasamy, A.D. (G&C) MSME; Mr. Raguram, Director (Operations), Cares Renewables; Mr. Venugopal, M.D. Aurog Power Solutions, Pvt Ltd; Mr. Vivekanandan, Spirulina Association; Mr. Jayaraj, G.M. Stansford International Higher Secondary School; Mr. C. Kumaravel, Additional Director, Sam Paul Educational Trust; and Mrs. G. Usharani, Principal, Stansford International Higher Secondary School. The training programme is being attended by people drawn from diverse fields, and is aimed at creating awareness about the immense potential and future of solar energy.


Stansford International Hr. Sec. School has secured centum pass in the 10th Board Exams 2016, with a total of 93 students having appeared and passed in the exam. School topper, Sowmiya. M secured 496/500 and got the state third rank. Swarnalakshmi.K (495/500) and Patrickaa. A (494/500) came school second and third respectively. The number of centums is as follows: Social Science (19), Science (13), Maths (4) and French (2). The highest mark in Tamil and English was 99/100.

A function was organised in the school to felicitate the toppers and teachers. The programme was attended by Dr. A. The school owes its success in the 10th Board Exams, to the whole-hearted support extended by the management, principal, vice-principal, coordinators, staff, students and parents.


International Women’s Day 2016 Was Celebrated At Stansford International Higher Secondary School, Moolakulam, Puducherry On 5th March. The Chief Guests at the event were Mrs.Thaiyalnayagi And Mrs Hema from ‘The Art Of Living’ (established by Shri Shri Ravi Shankar), and Mrs. Seethalakshmi, a Physical Trainer in a renowned gym in Puducherry. Various competitions were held for mothers of students of class I To VII. The competitions included rangoli, cooking without flame, Flower arrangement and elocution. The Principal Mrs. G. Usharani was present at the function and spoke on the role of Women in Today’s Society. Prizes and mementos were distributed To The Winners.

Representatives from Campus crusade for Christ organized a program at school on 19-02-2016 Pastor sonny from the USA organised a magic show and entertain the students, while at the same time presented the message of god’s love and forgiveness. Mr. William, Mr. Joshwa, Mr. Bharathidhasan and Mr. Fredrick of campus crusade were also present at the occasion. The program was attended by staff and students of class V and above.

The school is proud to state that PRIVHINA .S of XI -A3 has received the STATE BEST CHILD AWARD 2015 for creative writing (Tamil) from Jawahar Bal Bhavan, puducherry. The award includes a cash prize of Rs 5,000 and a citation received from The Chief Minister. PRIVHINA.S also secured the second place in Elocution (Tamil) for Children’s Day Celebration organized by the Education Dept of Puducherry. In addition she got the third place in the Lyrics writing Competition Organized and commemorates Kamaraj’s Birthday. This program was also organized by the education Dept of Puducherry. We wish this gifted child all the very best in her future endeavors.

The 10th Annual Project Day of STANSFORD INTERNATIONAL HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL was held at the school campus on Saturday, 26-09-2015 from 8.00 a.m. The Chief Guest Honorable Thiru Thiagarajan, Education Minister of Puducherry, lit the lamp. Other important dignitaries at the event, included members of the management and heads of institutions under Sam Paul Education Trust. The guest list included the Additional Director Thiru C.Kumaravel; General Manager Thiru jeyaraj; CEO of Sam Paul Group of Colleges Thiru L.subramaniam; the principal of Christ College of Engineering and Technology, Dr. Ravichandran; the principal of Dr S.J.S Paul Memorial College of Engineering and Technology, Dr. Thiru Nakkiran; the principal of Dr. Pauls Engineering College, Dr. Rao; the principal of Pauls Nursing College, Tmt Latha Abel, the director of Billabong High International School, Thiru G. Rajasegaran; the principal of Billabong High International school, Tmt Kalpana, the principal of Paulsons Teacher Training Institute, Thiru Arokiaraj, Retired Police Superintendent Thiru Nandakumar; and principal of STANSFORD INTERNATIONAL HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL, Tmt G.Usharani.
Every year science projects are held not only to impact knowledge but also provide detailed and subtle facts of science, art and culture. This year, the projects were based on various practical aspects of science in everyday life, ranging from a healthy diet to healthcare. The projects also depicted the culture and tradition of the nation and provided information on various utility items around us. More than 3000 parents attended the event which showcased the creative talents of the students in various areas to encourage students to kindle their scientific spirit and come out with innovative ideas without setting limits to their imagination.

Indendendence Day celebrations were held on 13.08.2015 at school. The programme started with Hoisting of the Tri - Colour and taking the Pledge. The Indedendence Day message was given by the Principal . Patriotic songs were also sung to mark the celebration.

Kalaimamani Mr. Rajaram conducted a Musical Programme at Stansford International Hr Sec School on 12.08.2015 to promote awareness on the Mouth Organ - a Musical Instrument whose usage is in decline these days. Mr. Rajaram prefomed on the mouth organ,to various songs, including patriotic song. The children showed their enthusiasum by singing in tune to the music performance.

Mrs. Gayatri Neena Nambiar and her eclectic team from Akshara VIdyaashram, Cuddalore, organized a self Transformative Educational Programme ( STEP) for teachers of Stansford International Hr Sec School, Mookulam, Puducherry , on 25.07.2015. Mrs.Gayatri has spent nearly four decades in the field of early childhood education with focus on inquiry, experiential, holistic and joyful learning. Mrs. Gayatri spoke about Self- empowerment, self discovery, confidence and team –work. The programme was also attended by the Prinicipal of Akshara Vidhyaashram and the Prinicipal of Stansford International Hr Sec School Mrs.G.Usha Rani .

Mr. Ahraham Antony founder of ‘ The New Light ‘ a Chennai based Organisation, Conducted a Magic Show at Stansford International Hr sec school, Moolakulam,Puducherry, on 25.07.2015. The show was aimed at creating awareness that magic is an art and does not require supernatural powers. Mr. Antony Enthaved the students with his tricks. He has been conducting shoes across India in over 1500 schools, with the aim of eradicating superstitions.

Students of Nursery Organised ‘ FRUIT SALAD DAY ‘ on 23.07.2015. The teachers prepared fruit salad for the students. Students learnt about the various fruits and eagerly involved themselves in arranging a fruit display in the form of beautiful butterflies and other natural scenery.

Students of Stansford International Higher Secondary School, Moolakulam, Puducherry, Visited Volontariat Farm and home for destitute children at Thuthipet as part of community service . The Students went around the Spirlina farm, Poultry farm and Agricultural farm, and visited the apiculture and pisciculture sections. The unique dome structure of the hostel was an added attraction to the students. They also helped clean up the campus as part of the NGC programme. Students of Stansford donated Stationery items and Organized games and entertainment programmes for the children at the home. It was truly a memorable day for everyone with the spirit of Sharing and giving.

A session was organised by T.I.M.E Institute, Puducherry at Stansford International Hr Sec School, Moolakulam, Puducherry, on Wednesday, 22 nd July, to create awareness about the foundation courses in Science and Mathematics being conducted by the Institute, to prepare students of Class VII and above , for various Medical and Engineering Entrance Examinations .The programme was attended by the Principal Mrs. G. Usha Rani and Parents . Mr Ashok and Mr Ganesh of T.I.M.E spoke about the need for students to have a strong foundation to be able to grasp higher – order concepts, and hence score very well in the Medical and Engineering Entrance Examinations. T.I.M.E Institute also prepares students for various competitive exams.

Representatives of Anand Foundation, Hyderabad, organised a Seminar titled “MEMORY & MIND POWER “ at STANSFORD INTERNATIONAL HR SEC SCHOOL on 21.07.2015 . Anand foundation is an education society aimed at worldwide community service to make people aware of their natural hidden potentials. The “MEMORY & MIND POWER “ seminar attended by Staff and Students of class VI and above . Interesting memory tips and positive attitude tips were shared with the students. The students also got an insight into how to improve their memory power and face examinations without fear.

A Workshop was conducted for Teachers of Stansford International Hr Sec School,Moolakulam,Puducherry, on 04.07.2015 by the Principal of Achariya Shiksha Mandir, Mr. S Vaikunda Rathnam . Mr.Rathnam Spoke about understanding Child Psychology, Motivating students and making the Classroom environment conducive , by understanding the needs of each student. The programme was attented by the Principal of Stansford, Mrs .G. Usha Rani the Vice Principal and Staff.Such staff training Pragrammes are conducted to ensure that teachers keep themselves abreast with global education and teaching methodology.

A Intercultural Exchange Programme was organised at Stansford International Hr Sec School,Moolakulam,Puducherry, on 03.07.2015 by 'Mission Humanitaire' a French NGo which is basically a French Medical Organisation working in countries around the world. Mission Humanitaire is also involved in various other programmes which promote women and child safety. A group of students aged sixteen and seventeen from France were part of the exchange programme which involved known sharing activities with students of stansford , to discover the Indian culture and the ways of education and teaching in Indian schools, Various topics were discussed, including the type of food,games, extracurricular activities, similarites and differences in both culture. The programme was jointly organised by Mission Humanitaire, its concern Ouicare an organisation for under privileged Indian population, whose trust office is located in puducherry, and stansford International Hr Secondary School. Those present at the programme included Mr.Thierry, President, 'Mission Humanitaire ', Mr Azad, President, Ouicare, Mr Dominic, Worldwide Incharge of Orphanages, Mr Jeya Raj, 'General Manager', Sam Paul Group and Mrs G. Usha Rani, Principal, Stansford International Hr Sec School. Such Intercultural exchange Programmes are Organised to Pave the way to global understanding and international exposure, hence achieving international harmony.

A Musical programme was organised by 'Youth For christ' group,at Stansford International Higher secondary school, Moolakulam, Puducherry. on 26.06.2015 . The members of the group presented various songs,expressing god's love for humanity.Students actively and enthusiastically participated in the action songs that were lively and catchy. The 'Youth for christ' group also presented skits depicting how each person in this world is a unique creation of god. The musical programme was organised by the Management of the school and 'youth for christ' group. Among those who attended the musical programme,were volunteers of 'youth for christ' group,inculding MR.Auston Olive and MR.Andy and around 20 representatives from all over India. The principal of the school, Mrs G.Usha Rani , staff and around 500 students from classes VIII -IX also attented the programme.

A Yoga Session was organised at Stansford International Higher secondary School, Moolakulam, Puducherry, on 18-06-2015,by Isha Yoga Volunteers from Puducherry. The importance of Yoga in today’s hectic and stress filled life, was highlighted to the staff and students. The benefits of yoga for a healthy lifestyle were also explained in detail. Some aasanes were also demonstrated for the benefit of all present at the session. The Programme was also attended by the principal of the school, Mrs. G. Usha Rani. About 200 students attended the session. This Programme was organized ahead of world yoga day which falls on 21 st June.

A one day workshop on Life Skills, Learning Styles in the Classroom, Learning difficulties in children and teacher’s role in cognitive, language and personality development, was held at Stansford International Hr. Sec. School, Moolakulam, Puducherry on 06.06.2015, by renowned trainer Ms Aarti.C Rajaratnam who specializes in Child Psychology. Ms Aarti spoke on personalized education and learning styles. She is the Director of KRITI PLAY SCHOOL, a Pre-school in Salem, and has been involved in training teachers, professionals, parents and students, as well as HR teams across the globe. She has guided and supported parents over 25 districts, employees in 10 corporate houses, students in 47 colleges, field staff and counsellors in 12 NGO's and teachers in 104 schools in India. Aarti's mission in life is to redefine education systems all over the world to make holistic learning accessible to all children irrespective of cultural boundaries, economic barriers and limiting mindsets. She has also completed projects and delivered lectures on her innovative curriculam models and psychology in Spain, United States of America and Srilanka. Around 150 teachers benefited through the workshop which is aimed at Holistic Development of the child. The Programme was coordinated by Macmillan India Ltd and the Principal of the school Mrs.G.Usha Rani. Stansford conducts training workshops for its teachers and ensure that they update themselves with skills to handle students and mould them into creative thinking individuals and make them sensitive to the needs of the society.


The School is proud that 100% results were secured in the 12th Board exams. Bhuvaneshwar.S secured 1155/1200, Sushanth.J obtained 1150/1200 and Sujitha.P obtained 1142/1200. Out of the 60 students who wrote the 10th Board exams, 58 secured distinction and 2 secured first class. Anudakshayani.J and Subicsha.S both obtained 496/500, Saranraj.G and Sathyaraj.V both secured 495/500, MAegha.R and Oviya.C both obtained 494/500.

Project Day is organized regularly to create awareness about the environment and to encourage students to exhibit their creative and communication skills. Our Chief Guest Dr.S.R.S. Paul, Managing Director, Sam Paul Educational Trust inaugurated our school 9th Project Day on 14th March 2015. The Principal Mrs.G.Usha Rani, Principals of group institutions and other members of the management were also present on the occasion. Both the Chief Guest and the Principal delivered special messages to the students. Students from Pre Primary to XI Std presented various topics which included Montessori Presentations, Health & Hygiene, Human Physiology, Microbes, Butterflies, Simple Machines, Pyramids, Mushrooms. They also spoke various utility items like Leather, Shell, Musical Instruments, Wool, Salt, Paddy, Footwear, Wood, Cleaning Agents, Cotton, Palm etc., and exhibited their technical skills through electronics and robotics.

World Cancer Day was commemorated at our school on Feb 4, 2015 , as part of the “school connect initiative” organized by NDTV-Fortis. NDTV has initiated an 8 hour LIVE televised fundraiser which will bring together the entire nation to spread awareness on childhood cancer. Students of our school donated gift items to children suffering from cancer as part of the shoebox campaign. Various Art and craft activities were organized to commemorate the occasion. The management of Sam Paul Educational Trust including the CAO Mr. Kumaravel, the CEO Mr. Subramanian, Additional Director Mr. Surendar, Director Billabong High Mr. Rajasekaran and our Principal Mrs. Usharani were present at the occasion. This programme was organized to create awareness and to support treatment of children suffering from Cancer.

In-house activities were conducted at our school on Feb 3, 2015 to instill the spirit of discipline and to have hone life skills. Personal hygiene activities like grooming, clipping nails were carried out. Students were taught how to press their uniforms and to polish their shoes. Needlework and button stitching were also taught. The students had a session on bed sheet and shirt folding. Further on, they undertook a campus and classroom cleaning activity to maintain clean surrounding. Creative activities like mehandi, drawing, rangoli, art & craft activities, kite flying, cooking without flame and vegetable carving were also conducted.

A programme on Stress management for our students was conducted at the school campus on Feb 2, 2015 by Yoga Sriji of TRIKARANA Yoga charitable Trust, Coimbatore. Yogi Sriji spoke about the need to maintain balance between mind and soul. He also discussed the ways to face situations such as peer pressure, attitude change, mood change which are normally encountered during adolescence. He stressed on the four important areas namely self-awareness, aim/goal in life, tolerance and strong will power. He also demonstrated a short meditation session.

An Entrepreneur development programme titled ”Change your City – Challenge” was organized as a collaborative effort of Ms. Pavithra Ramani Shankar – CEO, Akshara Vidhyashram, Cuddalore, Ms. Kiran Sampath- Program Manager and Mr. Jayesh Mohta – Entrepreneur Course Coordinator to kindle the entrepreneur spirit of students between the ages 13-16. Students of Class IX and X attended the programme, which helped them come out with socially sustainable ideas which would impact their city and the world at large, in a positive manner. The best entries will participate in a workshop and undergo successive mentorship required during an entrepreneurial journey.

A Cancer Awareness Programme was conducted on November 19, 2014, by Ms. Reena Saha, Southern Regional Programme, Cancer Aid Society, an NGO. Ms Saha shared some useful information on unhealthy eating habits and preliminary symptoms of cancer. She spoke about the importance of a balanced diet, regular exercise and the need to control obesity and to keep away from tobacco. Staff and Students of Class VIII to XII participated in the Awareness Programme.

Doctors from Apollo White Dental Clinic, Puducherry visited our School on 15th and 17th November, 2014 to conduct a dental awareness camp. Around 3000 students and all staff were screened during the camp. The Doctors on visit spoke about the importance of oral hygiene and how to reduce plaque build-up on teeth, in order to avoid dental caries and gum diseases and to maintain healthy teeth. They also stressed on the need for regular visits to the dentist. The camp was very useful to both staff and students and the school is thankful to Apollo White Dental Clinic and the Principal for organizing the camp.

As part of the cleanliness drive initiated by the Government of India, our students are actively involved in maintaining a green environment by sapling plant session in and around our school, cleanliness campaigns at school, neighborhood and other campus. In Continuation with these efforts our students of class IX and XI involved themselves in campus cleaning session at the Reddiarpalyam Police station on 15th November 2014.

National Unity Day(Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) was celebrated on Oct 31st, 2014 on the eve of the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Our Principal gave a small speech on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s honesty and sense of duty and exhorted students to emulate the ideas of Sadar Vallabhbhai Patel in our lives. And then our Principal administered a pledge to the students and teachers on integrity, unity and security of the nation. The Programme was concluded with the united singing of the National Anthem.

Stansford sparkled with colour in all hues of green during the celebration of "GREEN DAY" on Oct 29th, 2014. Green is the colour of balance, harmony and growth. It creates equilibrium between the head and the heart. It is the sanctuary away from the stresses of modern living, restoring us back to a sense of well-being. Hence, this special day of celebration was fittingly loaded with a myriad of activities, singing and games, all depicting the theme ’Green’. Classrooms were tastefully decorated with green festoons and balloons. Nursery students too came dressed in all possible shades of green, in keeping with the atmosphere of renewed energy and enthusiasm. Students look forward celebrating ”Colour of the month” days like this, every month, where they get to know about each colour and get hands-on experience experimenting with colours.

A Documentary Film on Conservation of Environment was played by CM Vatavaran-Auroville City on 10th October 2014 to inspire and guide the students in the preservation and enhancement of environment.

In accordance with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "SWACHH BHARAT MISSION" (Clean India) campaign was launched by our Principal in which teachers and students pledged to keep their campus and neighbourhood clean. An awareness rally was also carried out by the students, follwed by the seminar on Cleanliness.

Teachers enlighten the path of success for all of us. As a mark of tribute to the contribution made by our teachers, this year Teacher’s Day was celebrated on 5th September, 2014. Various competitions were conducted like Rangoli, Musical Chair, Cooking without flame etc. Our honorable guests Mr.C.Kumaravel, CAO - Sampaul Educational Trust, Mr.Surrendran, Additional Director - Sampaul Educational Trust, Mr.L.Subramaniam, CEO - Pauls & Sampaul Educational Trust, Mr.V.AnandaKrishnan, Auditor - Pauls & Sampaul Educational Trust, Director & Principal, Billabong International High School, Puducherry issued the awards to the winners and gave a small speech honoring the teachers.

Science fair is an opportunity for students to apply the scientific method to conduct independent research. The results of each student's research is presented in a school wide science fair  where the student's efforts are displayed and where students are interviewed to determine scientific merit. Preparing a science fair project is an excellent example of what education experts call active learning . On 28th August 2014, the students projects of  class 8th to 10th has been displayed in the school premises. All the students of lower class had a look on those projects so as to improve their knowledge.

On 23rd August 2014 SKY Yoga for Holistic Health organized a Yoga Class for all teaching faculty. Simplified Kundalini Yoga or SKY is a physical, mental and spiritual discipline packaged by Yogiraj Vethathiri Maharishi for developing strength, awareness, character, and consciousness.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away – we all know this. On 11th August 2014 students of KG, Primary and High school also learnt eating fruits is very important for their health.” How ? Not through TV advertisements, but by celebrating “Fruit Salad Day” with their friends, classmates and teachers.

On 5th August 2014 Junior Chamber International (JCI) organized a LIMCA World Record Programme of one day-one topic- one lakh youth called  SHINE(Self Help Initiative for New Empowerment)  to help the students to discover their potential and attempt at preparing themselves for their own future. Students from Class 8th to 12th participated in this programme and enjoyed very well.

On World Population Day(11th July 2014) , Census Education in school programme was organized to create awareness among the students about census, history of census, data collection, data usage and Census Quiz was conducted.


The academic year began with enthusiasm with the celebration of Grandparent’s Day along with their Grandchildren participating in fancy dress competition. "Color’s Day" are observed every month to help the students to recognize the colors along with the objects they are using in their day-to-day life. Independence Day was celebrated with great patriotism. Various interhouse competitions were conducted for the students, that help them do the activities quickly and smartly and awards were distributed to the winners. Diwali, the festival of lights was celebrated with great joy in our school campus and contributions were made to various charity homes. Children’s Day was celebrated with great happiness by students and teachers. Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ was celebrated and Christmas crib portraying the nativity scene was set by our students that helps us to imagine how the first Christmas must have been like. Science Projects were presented by our students on various fields.


A farm visit was organized for the Kindergarten students so as to make them explore the outside world. All the festivals were celebrated with great joy and happiness. The school organized one day excursion to Vedanthangal Bird Sanctuary, Birla Planetarium and Crocodile park in Chennai. Science Projects were displayed by all our students.

A total of 45 staff and students had the opportunity of visiting Delhi, Agra and Jaipur on a week long tour organized after the Quarterly examinations. Students saw one of the wonders of the world – The Taj Mahal, important monuments in the capital city Delhi and The Amer Fort in Jaipur to name a few. 

If you can dream it, you can do it. The academic year began on a very positive note with the declaration of the High School results. Vijay Chandraraj scored 491/500 to secure the fourth rank in the state, thus bringing accolades to the school. Success indeed is the sum of small efforts reaped day in and day out, and the management, principal, staff and students have worked relentlessly hard to achieve set goals.

At Stansford, Grandparents are made to feel special and Grandparents Day is always celebrated at the beginning of the academic year with games and fun.      

Colour is a very noticeable attribute of the world around us. Colour is a way children observe and categorize what they see. These first teachings in preschool and kindergarten are basics that every child needs to know before she learns the other basics of reading, writing and math. Hence ‘Colour Days’ are observed every month to help children distinguish shades, hues and tints.

Independence Day was celebrated with patriotism amidst folk dances and speeches. Param Vir Chakra recipient Yoginder Singh Yadav visited the school in the month of August and interacted with the students.

Childhood, much like life, is full of competition. Children compete with friends to do something quicker and or better. They compete at school to get good grades. Competition is actually good for all of us. It keeps us motivated to continue to improve and get better at whatever it is we want to do.  Our students participated in various competitions including quizzes, debates, elocution competitions, art and craft competitions,   conducted by the Education Department and various organizations, and won many prizes. Interhouse competitions also proved to be very competitive.

Let us be good stewards of the Earth we inherited. All of us have to share the Earth’s fragile ecosystems and precious resources, and each of us has a role to play in preserving them. If we are to go on living together on this Earth, we must all be responsible for it. The National Green Corps (NGC) organized sapling planting activities in and around the school campus. NGC also undertook campus cleaning activities at Sithananda Temple. Art and Craft activities were also conducted to bring home the concept of a greener environment. A night camp was also organized for Boy Scouts.

A good teacher is like a candle. It consumes itself to light the way for others. Teacher's Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and the day was dedicated to teachers who play a prominent role in the life of their students. Various activities such as rangoli competitions and games were organized. We thank our teachers for guiding us, inspiring us and making us what we are today.

Life skills sessions were held for students of the higher secondary classes to help them know what to do in everyday situations as well as how to make good decisions about more abstract, long-term choices.

UN Day was celebrated and the six important organs of the UN were highlighted. A mock session was also organized.

Students took part in the Young World Quiz competition and quiz competitions conducted by various organizations.

Diwali is not only a time for celebration, but it is also a time for reflection – a time when we must remember that there are always others less fortunate than ourselves. Contributions were made to Salt Boys Home, Don Bosco Home, Immaculate Home, Cluny Home, Missionaries of Charity, Anbu Illam, etc.

The Education Department conducted a 2 day workshop on CCE (Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation) on 16th and 17th November, for all teaching faculty.

Speed Maths sessions are being organised from July 15th 2010.Scholastic India Ltd organised a book fair on 22nd, 23rd and 24th July 2010. UN Day was celebrated and the six important organs of the UN were highlighted. The list of competitions includes singing, art & craft, handwriting, essay, elocution and quiz. Students of the four houses will vie with each other for the top spots. Intelligence is a multifaceted concept and is not limited to mastery in academic and general knowledge alone but encompasses a greater range of aptitudes involving Logic, mathematical ability and other skills such as verbal and spatial skills. Passive learning is no longer sufficient to prepare students to survive in today's world.  Projects are an easy way to incorporate creativity into learning. Keeping this in view, Project Day was held to showcase the talents of students. Students of class IX & XI visited Dr. Pauls Engineering College, and saw various electronic projects displayed at the National Level Technical Symposium and Project Expo.    

The Hindu Newspaper In Education (NIE) programme, an initiative of The Hindu Newspaper, is designed to help children use the newspaper as an education tool to increase their awareness in a wide range of topics. NIE workshops were held for students of high school and higher secondary, sensitising them to contemporary issues, developing their critical thinking skills and building up a strong reading habit. 

Personality development enhances and grooms oneself to bring about a positive change. Keeping in view the various difficulties involved in public speaking, training sessions in personality development and public speaking were held to helps students overcome initial anxiety and fear.

Located 28 kms away from Puducherry, Kizhoor a border village is a historic place where voting took place for the alliance of Puducherry with the Indian Union. Students of class IX visited this historical site and the nearby 400 year old gigantic banyan tree.

24 October has been celebrated as United Nations Day since 1948. UN day was celebrated in school, with speeches given by students and staff. Festivities are occasions to come together to celebrate and share our joy. At Stansford, Diwali, Christmas, New Year and Pongal were celebrated with enthusiasm. Field visits were organised to two great Chola Temples that were built in the 11th and 12th centuries – the Brihadeeswara temple of Thanjavur and the temple of Gangaikondacholapuram.


Representatives of a fire service company demonstrated the use of fire extinguishers. Reva organised a demo of new generation vehicles – electric cars and electric two-wheelers, to promote a greener environment.International women’s day celebrations were organised on 8th March. Creating awareness on Global Warming,our school conducted drawing competitions and a rally.A Documentary film on Global Warming was prepared by our students.Campus cleaning activities were organised by National Green Corps.A health camp was organised for the general public in and around Moolakulam. Minister.Namachivayam was present at the occasion.


A Debate was conducted on behalf of Dr.K.Sridar, Academic Co-ordinator, SSA, Directorate of School Education had been the chief guest.There was a  programme on Environmental awareness and Mr. N. Ramalingam, Environmental Education cell from STC enlightened the children on this topic.A general awareness programme on Energy Conservation was conducted by Ms. Isabel & Mrs. Anne from Austria and England.The Mathematic club & Mathematic Lab activities were presided by Mr. Karunakaran, former lecturer in Mathematics.There was also a seminar on “Disaster Management” resourced by Mr. Ramalingam, SSA. and so on. We conducted an Art & Craft workshop for Chinmaya Mission, which witnessed a strength of 250 students from all over Puducherry. We also organised an Art & Craft competition for Kalaimagal Kalai Koodam which witnessed a strength of 2400 students in 7 batches on one day.

Our students also participated in Science Exhibitions and also were taken a field trip to Auroville to witness a science Exhibition. The school introduced National Green Corps a system that instills the thought of green and clean world by planting trees in and around the campus. Hindustan Unilever Limited also joined us in this campaign of clean green Puducherry. Lots of activities had been conducted related to Environment. St. Patrick Higher Secondary School conducted Greenathon club and a 24 hrs Quiz to set a Guinness Record. Our students were asked to participate and stood second with 400 points. It was also telecast on NDTV.

The names of our students have also been sent to Guinness Record.Two of our students Gokulavanan of III Std and Kayalvizhi of U.K.G joined their Parents on 7th World tour to promote a greener environment. Our students also participated in Young World Quiz. The school has a choir under the leadership of Mr. Leander, and Keyboard, Guitar & Drums under the guidance of Mr. Abry Daniel Bay from Trinity London. Few students are learning Piano under the guidance of St. Judith from Cluny Convent.


To develop inquisitiveness in our children, they were taken for Nature walks, visit to Departmental Stores, Museum, Port, Harbour, Flower shows, Boutiques, Handicraft Showrooms, Timber Factory, Cottage Industries, Exhibitions andfarms, to the most complicated large scale industries.As teaching is a creative and demanding profession, our teachers are alwaysupdated with the present trends of teaching methodology through frequent in-servicetraining, workshops, seminars  and  paper presentations etc., A field trip to Auroville was also organised. Grandparents’ Day was celebrated with enthusiasm. Children also presented  projects on various topics.
